How You Can Help

Help Us Help Our Youth

The Foundation raises funds through community-based events and direct contributions. The funds are used to provide young adults with grants to gain access to job skill training and education, and to support events and programs that provide opportunities for early career exploration.

Join the Work Study Internship Employers Group

The aim of our Work Study Internship Employment program is to engage students in skill building in a hands-on work experience, with the goal of taking those skills to their lives after high school. Beneath this goal there is the hope that a forward-looking apprenticeship program would foster a connection between the students and their employer and between the groups of students. Rather than struggling with their vocational non-conformity in isolation, students connected by A Path in the Woods internship would learn to help each other, thereby learning that they are not alone in their decision to choose paths not as supported in their community and heading off to college right after high-school.

A Path in the Woods Foundation is interesting in finding local non-profit organizations that are receptive to hiring a student intern who is looking to explore a career in certain fields, and have a need to fill, but do not have the financial means to pay a student intern. We may be able to provide a grant for the internship.
